With over 4,500 high school theatre students, teachers, workshop leaders, administrators, and fellow exhibitors in attendance, the IHSTF is the largest festival of its kind in the nation.  There is no better way to get the word out about the exceptional programming and contributions YOU make to the theatre industry.

There are several fantastic opportunities to increase your visibility.

Advertising in the Festival Program Minimize

One Festival program is provided to each school (160 copies) and includes:


  • Full Page - (Print Size 5.5” W x 8.5” H with margins or 6.25” W x 9.25” H with bleeds) - $475 - Also includes a banner ad of logo and link to website on both the Apps and Social Media Wall during Festival hours.
  • Half Page - (Print Size 5.5” W x 4.125” H horizontal or 2.625” W x 8.5” H vertical) - $300 - Also includes a banner ad of logo and link to website on both the Apps and Social Media Wall during Festival hours.
  • Quarter Page - (Print Size 2.625” W x 4.125” H) - $125 - Also includes a banner ad of logo and link to website on both the Apps and Social Media Wall.
  • Eighth Page - (Print Size 2.625” W x 1.9375” H) - $80 - Also includes a banner ad of logo and link to website on both the Apps and Social Media Wall.

One Festival program is provided to each school (160 copies).
Projected visibility for the App and Social Media Wall is 5,000 participants.


  • If exhibiting at this year's Festival, select ad size and submit payment online when completing your exhibitor registration. If not exhibiting, send submission via email to Include your contact information. We will contact you regarding payment.
  • All ads are black and white.
  • All ads must be predesigned. Preferred submission format is camera ready. Preferred submission is in .eps format, although .jpg is also acceptable. Image resolution must be 300 dpi or higher.

Marketing Opportunities

Looking for a way to heighten your visibility at this year's Festival?  In addition to placing an advertisement in the Festival program, consider these options:

Festival Lanyards
Your company name, website, and/or logo proudly displayed around the necks of approximately 4,500 Festival participants. Cost TBA (based on actual cost of lanyards w/logo). 

Festival Bags
Your company name, website, and/or logo proudly displayed on the bags of registration materials given to all Sponsors.Cost TBA (based on actual cost of bags chosen w/logo).

Student Monitor and Tech T-Shirts
There will be over hundred students volunteers acting as monitors for this year's Festival. Each of them will be wearing a t-shirt with your logo/graphic displayed on the front or back. Cost: $800 for Student Monitor shirts, $800 for Tech shirts.

Sponsor an Event

There are even MORE opportunities for visibility...

Opening Ceremony Sponsorship
Become the Sponsor of the Opening Ceremony and receive placement of logo in Festival App (reach 5,000 participants), and listing/logo placement in the IHSTF Festival program (reach 500 participants). Cost: $2,000 

All-State Production Sponsorship

Become the Sponsor of the All-State production and receive  prominent listing in the All-State program and gain access to All-State Company for purposes of offering workshops and/or additional support (reach 5,000 participants). Cost: $2,000


Sponsor an All-State Company meal and receive a thank you in the All-State program (viewed by 5,000 participants), and signage and verbal recognition during time of meal (reach 100 All-State Company Members). Cost $400


Underwrite an expense associated with the All-State production and receive notice in the All-State program (viewed by 5,000 participants). Cost: Varies (contact for opportunities); expenses include lumber, projections, costume pieces, lighting, and much more!



Become a Title Sponsor the official IHSTF Festival App and receive placement of logo on home page of Festival App (reach 5,000 participants). Cost: $1,500


Become a Title Sponsor of the Festival Social Media Wall and receive regular full page splashes on the Social Media Wall (reach 5,000 participants). Cost: $750


Become a Charging Kiosk Sponsor and receive exposure of your logo on kiosks around the Festival for students to charge their phones and media devices. Cost: $500


Become a Sponsor the Festival Dance and receive signage at the entrance of the event, and verbal recognition during the dance. The dance hosts 1,000 students. Cost: $750 (Optional Addition: Your logo appears on all wristbands of participants - cost: TBA)


Sponsor all the Plays in a Performance Space and receive logo and signage at the entrance to the play, mention of sponsorship on Festival app with the description of the play, and verbal recognition by the committee members when presenting plaque to school. Cost: $250-$500 (varies depending on number of performances in space)


Sponsor a Friday evening student activity and receive signage/verbal recognition at the activity. There are a wide variety of activities to choose from. Please inquire. Cost: $250



Become a Title Sponsor of the Hospitality Room and receive recognition in the festival app (viewed by 5,000 participants) and signage in the room. The room hosts all teachers attending Festival. Cost: $2,500  


Sponsor the Teacher/College Representative/Exhibitor Afterglow Reception and receive recognition in the Festival app (viewed by 5,000 participants), signage at the entrance of the event, and verbal recognition at the time of the event. The reception hosts all teachers and exhibitors attending Festival. Cost: $1,500 


Sponsor the breakfast and lunch for all college/university auditors and receive recognition in the Festival app (viewed by 5,000 participants), recognition at the auditions, not to mention much appreciation from all involved (reach 100 college professors). Cost: $750

If you would like to make an in-kind donation of goods, services, and/or funds to the Festival, we would like to thank you by offering free ad space in the Festival program.  All in-kind donors are entitled to an ad space equal to 10% of the amount of the donation.  An example of in-kind donations include:

  • Loan of equipment or significantly reduced pricing for rentals
    • lighting and sound for All-State
    • microphones and sound for the Sponsor Reception
  • Other

The Illinois Theatre Association is appreciative of any contributions you can make toward two very important Illinois High School Theatre Festival funds:

  • Julie Anne Nelson Memorial Fund - contributions help offset the expenses of the Festival.
  • Clif Aldridge Memorial Scholarship Fund - contributions go directly toward All-State students expressing a need for financial assistance to participate in the production.
In addition, you may also make a contribution to the Illinois Theatre Association to help support general operating expenses.
